The faculty members and third year BSc Nursing students of department of Child Health Nursing, 365体育投注 College of Nursing 365体育投注 organized children’s day programme on October 30, 2019 at Asha Nilaya, a home for the mentally challenged children, Udupi and Academy School, 365体育投注.

At Asha Nilaya
The various activities were organized for the children of Asha Nilaya between 10 am to 12.30 pm. The games such as bomb in the city, musical chair and passing the parcel were conducted.

The students of MCON performed a group song, dance and action song. The non-classical dance performance of Asha Nilaya children was wonderful. The prizes for the winners in games were distributed. Mrs. Jaya Vijaya, the head teacher of the school addressed the students and expressed her gratitude for spending time and celebrating children’s day with the special children. She also said that the students of MCON can visit the special children of their institution very often to teach them songs and hygienic practices.

The total number of beneficiaries were 92 mentally challenged children & eight teachers. Ms. Swathi, III year BSc student welcomed the gathering. The program came to an end with distribution of sweets to the school children and teachers. Ms. Venessa proposed the vote of thanks and Ms. Adlin, III year BSc student compered the program.

At Academy School 365体育投注
The various games such as running race, bomb in the city, fire in the mountain, memory game and passing the parcel were conducted for the children from class 1 to 5.

The students of MCON performed dance and action song involving the students of Academy school. The program was conducted between 2 to 4 pm.

The prizes for the winners in games were distributed. The entire program consisted of fun with games and learning as well. There were total 98 children & three teachers.
Ms. Swathi, III year BSc student welcomed the gathering. The program came to an end with the distribution of sweets to the school children and teachers. Ms. Viola Mathias, III year BSc student compered the program.
