365体育投注 Institute of Applied Physics (MIAP) is the most prominent interdisciplinary research hub at 365体育投注 Academy of Higher Education, where research and academics are focused on Advanced Sciences such as Photonics, Nanoscience and Technology, Structural Biology, and Environmental Sciences.

The establishment of the institute in 2008 roots back to the establishment of the Centre for Laser Spectroscopy in 1997 to develop optical diagnostic techniques for clinical applications. Currently, the institute has two centers identified by the University under the Institution of Eminence scheme. The Centre for Applied Nanosciences focuses on the diverse applications of nanotechnology in areas like photonics, biophotonics, and surface engineering. The Centre of Excellence for Biophotonics focuses on the development of applications of light-assisted technologies for clinical applications.

The institute is supported through the DST-FIST scheme of the Government of India and the Centre of Excellence by VGST, Government of India. MIAP boasts active collaborations with top-ranked global universities and Indian institutions. The research activities of the MIAP are supported by the government as well as Industry funding agencies. The institute runs two PG programs, an undergraduate program, and certificate courses in the areas of Photonics and Nanoscience & Technology.
